How to do it

  1. Set the bar in a squat rack at about chest height and grip it a little wider than your shoulders, palms forward.
  2. Rest the bar on your upper chest, lift it off the rack and step back with feet shoulder-width apart.
  3. Press the bar straight up over your head until your arms are almost straight.
  4. Lower the bar slowly back to your upper chest.

Beginner tip: Squeeze your stomach and glutes so your body stays straight.
