How to do it
- Stand tall holding a barbell palms down, hands a little closer than shoulder-width, bar resting on your thighs.
- Lift your elbows up and out to the sides, pulling the bar up close to your body.
- Raise it until the bar is about chest height, with your elbows higher than your hands.
- Lower the bar slowly back to your thighs.
Beginner tip: Lead with your elbows and lift only as high as feels comfortable.
