How to do it
- Adjust the knee pad so it holds your thighs snugly, then pick a weight.
- Grip the bar wider than your shoulders, palms facing forward, sit down and lean back slightly with your chest up.
- Pull the bar down to your upper chest by driving your elbows down and back.
- Let the bar rise slowly until your arms are straight again.
Beginner tip: Think of pulling your elbows down, not your hands; avoid swinging back.
