How to do it
- Set the bar just below shoulder height, step under it and rest it across your upper back.
- Stand with feet about shoulder-width apart, stand up tall and twist the bar to unhook it.
- Bend your knees and hips to lower slowly until your thighs are about parallel to the floor, chest up.
- Push through the floor to stand up, then twist the bar back onto the hooks when you finish.
Beginner tip: Placing your feet slightly in front of the bar can make it feel more stable.
